The subject aims to provide a self-contained and synoptic perspective of the contemporary paradigms of the artificial cognitive systems with emphasis on their practical application within the field of artificial intelligence and intelligent software. The accent is put specifically on understanding the fundamental techniques of machine learning, representation, derivation and storage of knowledge and rational behaviour, i.e. decision-making and problem solving.
